What is an owner-builder permit?
Florida law (s. 489.103, F.S.) lets property owners pull permits for work on their own property instead of hiring a licensed contractor, as long as they meet the owner-builder requirements.
Do I still have to sign anything?
Yes. Florida requires the owner to sign an owner-builder disclosure statement, and some counties require it in person or notarized. We tell you exactly what to sign and where.
Is the county permit fee included?
No. Our $250 covers preparing and filing your permit. Permit fees are paid directly to your county.
What if my project needs a site plan?
Add a site plan from $79, delivered next business day. Many fence, shed and slab permits need one.
