Permits are issued by your local building department to a licensed contractor or to the property owner as owner-builder. We act as your authorized agent; some jurisdictions require certain forms to be signed in person or notarized, and we'll tell you exactly what's needed. We don't provide legal, engineering or surveying services; where signed and sealed documents are required, they come from licensed professionals.
Permit Expediting FAQ
What does a permit expediter do?
We handle the paperwork side of your building permit: we confirm exactly what your county or city requires, prepare your drawings and application package, submit it through the permit portal as your authorized agent, respond to reviewer comments, track the status and send you the approved permit.
Do you handle permits anywhere in Florida?
Yes. We work with building departments in all 67 Florida counties and their cities, from Pensacola and Tallahassee to Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, Fort Myers and Miami. Nearly all of it is handled online and by email.
Who applies for the permit?
In Florida, a permit is issued to a licensed contractor or to the property owner acting as an owner-builder. We act as your authorized agent and prepare and submit everything for you. Some jurisdictions require the owner or contractor to sign certain forms in person or with a notary, and we tell you exactly what's needed up front.
How fast will I hear back?
We reply to every permit request within one business day with your county's requirements, the documents needed and an estimate of permit fees. Status updates are sent as soon as the county posts them.
Are county permit fees included?
No. Permit, impact and review fees are set and collected by your county or city and are paid directly to them. Our service fee is quoted up front as a flat price.
Can you also do the drawings?
Yes. Most permits need a site plan or plan set, and we draft those in-house. Bundling drawings and permit expediting is the fastest way to get approved.
